ORU Theater: Level Up 2025

Oral Roberts University Theater performed Level Up as their Fall 2025 production. Client gave character and storyline specifics as well as set details. The theme was described as “the dark side of gaming,” and was to be reflected in color and typeface decisions. Subject/composition left open.
Needs
Client is in need of both digital and print advertising for the production.
Audience
Oral Roberts University students, faculty, and parents of students. Mainly on-campus advertising as well as social media content.

Solutions
Conceptualized solution was a photobashing technique with a mature, busy feel feeling as if one is in a 2011 teen’s basement.
Approval Process
Client will approve a single solution to move forward with. Client will suggest any edits and then approve finalization. Each deliverable will individually be proofed by the client one final time before printed/published.

Moodboard and collected images. For small projects, I find making simple moodboard is easiest to nail down a design.

Photobashed reference image. More concern about composition than perspective/lighting consistency at this stage

Reference image filtered through ChatGPT to gain unity in lighting and colors.
As a general rule, I believe generative AI should be used to speed up processes near end stages, but should not touch the creative idea development side.

Animation storyboard for digital signage/announcement. Unrealized.
